My guest today, Connie, has over 20 years of experience in senior care. As an adult caregiver herself, she is passionate about helping other adult caregivers manage the many challenges which come with the aging process. Take a listen.

More about Connie Hill-Johnson

Constance Hill-Johnson (Connie) is the Owner and Managing Director of Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services in Cleveland Ohio. Visiting Angels is an in-home service provider assisting the elderly and older adult to live as independently as possible by remaining safely in their own familiar home environment.

Now a seasoned entrepreneur, Connie started her business in 2002, and has successfully served hundreds of seniors throughout the greater Cleveland area and surrounding communities. Her professional background includes over 10-years of senior health care management experience in a variety of health care settings. She is regarded as a both a dynamic motivational leader and speaker who shares with audiences her entrepreneurial journey which began in her early 40’s, in addition to her recent journey as an adult caregiver to a mother with dementia.

Connie’s expertise spans a wide array of organizational settings including acute care hospitals, physician’s medical practices, and professional management services companies. Ms. Hill-Johnson also spent 5 years as an institutional sales broker on an equity sales and trading desk for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.

She has earned the degree of Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Services Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Connie serves on the Board of Directors of The Cleveland Foundation, the oldest community foundation in the country. In 2017 she was honored as a Crain’s Women of Note and in 2020 she was selected as a YWCA Greater Cleveland Woman of Excellence award winner. Connie currently serves on the boards of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging (BRIA) and Adults at Risk, a pillar of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry. She is a member of the African American Outreach Committee of Hospice of the Western Reserve and is one of the architects of The Soul of Philanthropy Cleveland & Celebrate Those Who Give Black, an exhibit which reframes how philanthropy looks in the African American community. A committed philanthropist, she was instrumental in the establishment of the Cleveland Black Equity and Humanity Fund, a sustainable fund, seeded by African-Americans and community allies that support and facilitate philanthropic investment in causes and issues that promote and support
Black-led social and economic change throughout Northeast Ohio.
