Steve Hansen’s Bio

Steve Hansen has been the President and CEO of PMS, Since November 2007. He is responsible for managing and directing the operations of Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) toward its vision of improving the health and lives of all people of the Southwest. The current budget of $150 million, 1,400+ employees, 110 individual sites, operations located at distances of over 600 miles, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) accredited.

He is a Board Member of Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, Member of Health Insights New Mexico Board, Current Chair and Member of the Board of Directors of NM Primary Care Association, Member of the National FQHC Advisory Group for United Healthcare, and Former member of the Laguna HealthCare Corporation Board of Directors, named as a “Healthcare Hero” in 2007 by Nevada Business Magazine, Nevada Governor Appointed Committee of Prostate Cancer, Founding Board Member of High Sierra AHEC, Clark County Commissioner Appointed Member of the Clark County Social Security Advisory Board, two time past President and Secretary of the Great Basin Primary Care Association.
