As we approach the end of 2023, I find myself filled with gratitude and reflection on the incredible journey this year has been. It's been a wild ride, and I wanted to take a moment to share some of the special moments that have made this year truly unforgettable.
1. Launching Two New LinkedIn Courses
One of the highlights of my year was the opportunity to launch two new LinkedIn Courses. As an entrepreneur whose journey has been deeply intertwined with LinkedIn, collaborating with LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning has been a full-circle moment for me. I am immensely grateful for this experience and the chance to contribute to the professional development of others.
2. Over 50 Events and Keynotes
Setting a goal to deliver 50 keynotes in 2023 was ambitious, but I'm thrilled to share that I came very close to achieving it. From workshops and coaching sessions to focus groups, I had the privilege of speaking with individuals across various industries, reinforcing the idea that what I teach resonates universally. This year has truly emphasized that the power of effective communication knows no bounds.
3. Quality Time with My Husband and Adventures in Napa, Barcelona, and Maui
Amidst the professional milestones, I made sure to prioritize quality time with my husband. Our annual getaway to Napa, California, is a cherished tradition filled with good food and, of course, wine. This year, I had the joy of bringing him along on speaking engagements in Barcelona and Maui, turning work trips into unforgettable experiences for both of us.
4. Meeting My Virtual Team In Person
In a world dominated by virtual communication, meeting my team in person for the first time was a heartwarming experience. While we've collaborated virtually for years, coming together for the launch of my latest book, "The Art of Active Listening," created a bond beyond work. Nothing beats the warmth of a hug and shared moments over a meal.
5. The Launch of "The Art of Active Listening"
Months of hard work culminated in the launch of my third book, "The Art of Active Listening." This blueprint for effective listening and creating a positive workplace culture has been a labor of love. With each book, I've learned more about writing, creativity, and marketing. Stay tuned for more in 2024!
6. First-Ever Girls-Only Trip
Among the many firsts this year, going on my first-ever girls-only trip with friends stands out. Amidst a busy schedule and family commitments, finding dedicated time for friends can be challenging. However, making this happen was a soul-filling experience that added a special touch to 2023.
7. The Inaugural Cohort for the Art of Active Listening Certification
Witnessing the launch of the first-ever cohort for Certified Art of Active Listening Facilitators was a profoundly fulfilling experience. These founding facilitators, carefully selected and tested, signify a step towards spreading Cultures of Listening within organizations. The transformative impact of this certification is awe-inspiring, and I eagerly anticipate the second cohort in 2024.
As we bid farewell to 2023, I extend my warmest wishes for a joyous holiday season and a New Year filled with prosperity. Your support and active participation in this journey have been invaluable. Let's embrace 2024 with renewed hope, boundless ambition, and the enthusiasm to make every moment count.
Thank you for being an integral part of this incredible journey!
