How to Keep It Together When Everything Is Out of Control

Have you ever had one of those weeks where it feels like you’re holding everything together with sheer will, a tired smile, and whatever courage you can find in the moment? In this solo episode of Becoming Unshakable, I’m speaking directly to the person who is carrying so much, trying so hard, and wondering why life feels heavier than it used to. The truth is that the world has been loud and relentless lately. The news cycle is constant, workplaces are stretched, families are tired, and it can feel impossible to be the grounded version of yourself when you are pulled in every direction.

In this conversation, I name the reality so many of us have been quietly shouldering and talk through what it really looks like to be unshakable when everything around you feels chaotic. This has nothing to do with pretending you’re fine. It has everything to do with learning how to come back to yourself when your inner world feels flooded. I share the three practices that helped me rebuild my own steadiness, especially during seasons where the outer world felt like too much: naming what you’re feeling and where it sits in your body, shrinking the moment down to what is truly yours to carry today, and creating tiny anchors that reset your nervous system before overwhelm takes over.

You’ll hear some of my own story, including the moment I hit a wall two years ago and had to rethink how I was living. You’ll also hear about the simple human practices that helped me step back into alignment with my values and show up with presence rather than panic. These practices are for anyone facing emotional whiplash, navigating complex family dynamics, or walking into a holiday season with a heavy heart. They are meant to help you breathe again, reconnect with what matters, and remember that being unshakeable never meant becoming untouched. It means you know how to return.

As you listen, I’ll invite you to build your own personal anchor list, choose one reset you’ll use today, and think of one person in your life who might need this episode too. And before we close, I leave you with a simple phrase you can return to anytime life feels like too much: I can bend, I can feel, and I can come back. If this episode speaks to you, let me know, and share it with someone who might need a reminder that they are not alone.
