THE STEADINESS INDEX™
Take The Steadiness Index™ Assessment and discover how your leadership presence, clarity, connection, alignment, and renewal practices affect the people you lead when pressure is high.
Based on Heather Younger’s body of work in Unshakable Leadership™, Caring Leadership®, active listening, self-leadership, and Employee Fanatix’s 2025 State of Team Culture Study.
The Steadiness Index™ measures how individual leaders think, communicate, decide, connect, align, and recover under pressure — and how those patterns may create stability or instability for the people they lead.
You will receive your overall Steadiness Index™ score, your steadiness category, your highest leadership dimension, your growth edge, and a short interpretation of what your result may mean for how you lead others under pressure.
How steady is your leadership under pressure?
This assessment is for executives, managers, people leaders, team leads, department heads, project leaders, emerging leaders, and influential contributors who are responsible for helping others stay grounded, clear, connected, and aligned under pressure.
Answer 25 questions and we’ll send you a personalised report with feedback tailored to your specific needs.
In Employee Fanatix’s 2025 State of Team Culture Study, 55.3% of respondents selected alignment and clarity as critical fixes for improving team culture and reducing strain. In the same study, 25.4% identified ambiguous roles as one of the top contributors to burnout.
Taken together, these findings point to a deeper issue: many teams are not simply tired because they have too much work. They are depleted because pressure is being amplified by unclear roles, inconsistent communication, shifting priorities, and a lack of shared alignment.

LEADERSHIP™
doesn’t mean leaders are never shaken…
It means they know how to STAY REGULATED, trusted, and effective when pressure is high.
They have the support mechanisms they need to respond effectively to challenges and move decisively through complexity.
And this creates the conditions teams need to adapt, collaborate, and perform through uncertainty.
Steadiness Is A Leadership Strategy.
Books that guide leaders to lead with
strength and care, no matter the industry.
I've been through every type of
ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE
you can think of.
Layoffs, reorgs, mergers, acquisitions and major technology shifts. More than 20 years leading teams through high-stakes situations where results mattered, people depended on me, and decisions couldn't wait.
Those years taught me how to lead. But they also showed me the hidden cost of always being the one who holds it all together.
During our second reorg in less than a year, I walked out of a meeting with no say in what was happening, just marching orders. When my team asked how the meeting went, I should have said, “Give me 15 minutes to process this.” But I didn't. Instead, I let them absorb every ounce of my frustration.
Then I saw their faces.
The people who looked to me for stability had just watched me unravel. What was that teaching them about their ability to handle the pressure?
That moment changed how I saw my role as a leader. Leading teams isn't only about grit or resilience. It's about how your presence builds the trust your team needs to function when things get hard.
Today, I help organizations build unshakable leaders, teams, and cultures. Because when leaders become the calm teams can count on, organizations don't just survive change, they come out strong enough to handle what’s next.
